The " eyes " have it !

The "eyes have it" are porcelain, hand-formed beads with the glass center glued in. They can be of any color....these happen to be green to match the emerald glaze. The porcelain is formed, bisque fired, then glazed and fired again. The temperature of the kiln is cone 04 which is over 1800 degrees. I don't fire at 2300 degrees...which is the temp porcelain becomes vitrified....for plates or cups or any dinnerware in porcelain, that needs to be the temp. But, with my pendants the lower temp is just fine. (The reason I don't fire at 2300 degrees is that my kiln is an older model). Also, the reason I use porcelain clay is it feels smooth and silky to the touch and I love it!!!! Please give us your comments to this description and let us know how we can improve in the future. Thanks, Sandy
